Before MONDON became a graduation products supplier, we were manufacturers.
Our journey began in 2002, when our predecessor factory was established in Shaoxing, one of China's most important textile and garment production regions.
Like many garment factories at the time, we started by producing a wide variety of apparel products for domestic and international customers. Through years of manufacturing experience, we developed strong capabilities in fabric sourcing, sewing, quality control, and large-scale production management.
As our export business grew, we began receiving more inquiries from overseas customers in the graduation apparel industry. What started as a few custom projects gradually became a specialized market opportunity.
By 2004, we made a strategic decision to focus on graduation gowns and academic regalia production. Over the following years, we accumulated extensive OEM experience serving international distributors, educational suppliers, and graduation product companies.
As we worked with more customers, we gained a deeper understanding of graduation traditions, academic dress requirements, and the unique needs of schools and universities around the world.
In 2008, we started developing international customers directly through online marketing and expanded our product portfolio to better support the growing graduation market.
To strengthen our global business operations, Hangzhou Meideng Trading Co., Ltd. was officially established in 2010, creating a dedicated platform for international sales, customer service, and project management.
The following decade marked a period of continuous growth.
By 2015, our manufacturing facility had expanded to more than 8,000 ㎡ with over 100 skilled workers, while our sales team grew to more than 20 professionals.
By 2018, annual sales exceeded 600,000 graduation sets, serving customers in over 60 countries and supporting more than 1,000 educational institutions worldwide.
To meet increasing demand, we expanded our manufacturing network in 2020 through branch facilities and strategic production partnerships, increasing annual capacity to 1.2 million graduation caps and 1 million graduation gowns.
Recognizing that graduation ceremonies require more than apparel, we expanded into diploma covers, diploma frames, and graduation keepsakes in 2022. This transformation allowed MONDON to evolve from a graduation gown manufacturer into a one-stop graduation solutions provider.
Today, we continue investing in product development, quality certifications, social compliance programs, and digital management systems. With more than 10 design and utility patents, we remain committed to delivering reliable products and long-term value to educational institutions, distributors, and brands worldwide.
